Flight Numbers

  • Send these to your sponsor so they can track your flight and meet you at the house when you arrive.  Useful if your flight gets delayed and you can't communicate.

Here's some info that might be useful once you land:

  • There are ATMs at the airport if you do want to draw pesos there or you can just wait until you get downtown.

  • The official cab stand is inside the terminal to your right when you exit baggage claim and customs.

    • When you buy your taxi ticket, tell them you want to go to Centro (they price by zone).

    • You buy one ticket (about 450 pesos) for up to 4 people.  Take 2 taxis if more than 4, or the van if it is available.

    • You can use a credit card for the fare (it will only cost 20 pesos more).

    • You catch the cab right outside.

    • Tell the cab driver to take you to 49 Pedregoso in Centro and/or show him the map below.

    • If the taxi driver is confused, they can call Walden's cell at 669 228 2642.

    • The tip is included, but if there is a lot of luggage, you can leave them 20 or 30 pesos more at the end of the ride.

  • The 30 minute taxi ride in is interesting, passing through some very poor neighborhoods.

When Leaving:

  • Ramone is our local taxi driver.  Just call him (or have one of us call him) at +52 669 158 7915 the day before you leave.

  • Let him know what time to pick you up.

  • He doesn't mind very early rides in case you have the 6:00 AM flight.

  • Mention Walden's name and he'll know where to pick you up (Pedregoso 49).

  • The fare is about 400 pesos (about $20 USD).

  • The taxi ride will take about 30 minutes.

  • We recommend leaving here about 2 hours before your flight.

  • You don't need to print out your boarding pass since you'll need to scan your passport when you check in anyway.
